Everything we do here at WEST is in keeping with our ethos 'Glaswegian Heart. German Head'. Our beerhall, WEST ON THE GREEN is no different! As well as offering our full range of beers, brewed freshly on the premises, we also offer a delicious menu featuring classic German and Scottish comfort dishes created using seasonal ingredients from local and specialist German suppliers. Each dish has been crafted to be perfect with a pint!

OUR WURST IS THE BEST!
Sausages have always been synonymous with German cooking. In fact, the Sausage Preservation Law in Germany dates even further back than the Reinheitsgebot! Here's the lowdown on some of our signature sausages.

Currywurst - the most famous dish in Berlin (the city even has a Currywurst museum)! Ours is every bit as good as you'd find there, featuring two bockwurst sausages smothered in traditional German curry sauce. Vegan version also available!

Bratwurst - This new dish features two unsmoked grilled Bratwurst sausages served on top of a German potato rösti with sautéed cabbage, bacon and a mustard cream sauce

Nürnberger - These baby bratwurst sausages come from our founder Petra's hometown of Franconia. Our new dish comes with a mustard glaze, smoked cheese & spring onion mash, sauerkraut and our haus pickles

SCHNITZEL
No German beerhall would be complete without Schnitzel! Schnitzels are thin, tenderised cutlets of meat served all sorts of delicious ways!

WIENER - Breaded pork escalope served with warm German potato salad and salad leaves

ZIGEUNER - our newest addition to the schnitzel family! Breaded chicken escalope served with a tomato, roast pepper and paprike sauce, with roast baby potatoes

JÄGER - A chargrilled pork escalope topped with a rich and creamy mushroom sauce. Served with skinny fries and salad leaves

HOLSTEIN - Breaded pork escalope topped with a fried egg and capers. Served with skinny fries and salad leaves

PILZ - Available vegan upon request, this dish features garlic & thyme breaded mushroom with braised red cabbage and warm German potato salad.
