30 Jun North Hop
4 months, 3 cities, 3 North Hop festivals!
2016 has been a busy year of beer festivals so far for WEST. Included in the mix were three different North Hop events.
North Hop is more than just a craft beer festival for it also features purveyors of quality gin and wine, local bands, and an array of food vendors. A travelling festival, it takes place in a number of cities across Scotland. WEST showcased at three of these locations – in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and a two-day’r in Aberdeen.
First up was Edinburgh, at the Assembly Rooms, in March. WEST brought along our flagship St. Mungo lager, classic Hefeweizen, seasonal Dunkel, and the freshly released Party Pils, a one-off brew in honour of WEST’s 10th birthday also celebrated in March. A busy event, the highlight of the day was the team’s introduction to Aye Love Real Food’s Scotch eggs, which really stole the show!
Next up was the event in Aberdeen, which took place across two days at the start of May. Both sessions on Saturday were packed full, and we enjoyed introducing the inhabitants of Aberdeen to the array of beers from WEST, as most people were only familiar with St. Mungo.
For the Glasgow event we were on our home turf, and enjoyed not having to travel far. The event took place in the SWG3 in the west end of the city, spread across two floors. WEST was lucky enough to be set up next to Burger Meets Bun, whose burgers were so popular they sold out early – thankfully we got special staff burgers set aside!
A great event, we recommend you purchase a ticket early for your local North Hop in 2017!
